The Forest of Dean has been brought to life with 50 unique installations to encourage visitors to take their litter home.
Campaign Name:Love Your Forest
Main Objective:Behaviour change, raising awareness/ communications campaigns
Type:Installations incl. art
Every year 250 tonnes of litter is removed from the Forest of Dean. That's why the ‘Communitrees’ were keeping a watchful eye over the Forest of Dean in the summer of 2016 reminding visitors to keep the forest clean and green by taking their litter home.
The installations were developed based on the theory that when people feel as though they are being watched they are more likely to do the right thing as proved in Rotterdam http://popupcity.net/10000-eyes-are-watching-out/.
The 50 weird and wonderful tree faces have been designed by school children and brought to life by local artists, using reclaimed materials and litter from the Forest floor.
